We value our club community and hence our range of facilities offer a number of excuses for our members to visit the club.
We have four, single, glass-backed squash courts. Court 1 (The John Anderson Court) offers full gallery viewing seating up to 100 spectators, whilst courts 2, 3 and 4 have mezzanine viewing from the first floor or viewing from directly behind the courts on the ground floor.
The Whangarei Squash Club complex is currently the largest and arguably the best squash facility in Northland.
Courts and other club facilities are well maintained. We also allow sponsorship of the individual courts. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our courts, please email email@example.com to go on the waiting list as a court sponsor.
Current court sponsors:
COURT 1 – Angus.kiwi.nz and Whangarei and Kamo Vehicle Testing Stations
COURT 2 – First National Real Estate
COURT 3 – Activ8
COURT 4 – Morris and Morris Funerals
These are now done online via iSquash and can be accessed from home or at the club.
We have a well established gym available to our members which includes a cross-trainer, rowing machine, exercycle, a multi-gym weights machine, as well as a bench and free weights. The gym is restricted to members over the age of 16.
Lounge & Bar
The club lounge and bar are essential for winding down after a hard game. We stock a wide range of drinks both alcoholic (beers, wines, RTD’s) and non-alcoholic (Powerade, vitamin drinks, water, ginger beer…). Enjoyed by all members, both young and old, for that post game discussion, club and group gatherings, tournament and social events etc.
This facility also includes a pool table, large TV and a homely log fire. It sometimes gets cool enough in the “winterless” north to stoke the fire up!
